Alabama man arrested in Panama City on lewd and lascivious charges

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – An Alabama man was arrested after authorities say he traveled to Panama City to meet a minor for sex.

According to Panama City police, 49-year-old Christopher Carr was communicating with a person he believed to be a 15-year-old girl.

Police said that during the back and forth, the alleged minor actually told Carr that she was 15 years old. He allegedly made sexual comments and sent explicit photos to the minor.

According to police, Carr then arranged to meet at an address in the 1100 block of Beck Avenue. Upon his arrival, Carr was arrested by police.

According to police, Carr later admitted to sending the text messages and photos and meeting the minor to have sex.

He faces several charges, including lewd and lascivious conduct, and is currently being held on $205,000 bail.
