DEVELOPMENT: 3 transported after Lake Potter incident

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois – Rock Island Emergency Services responded to Lake Potter around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 17, after receiving reports of casualties in the water.

Rock Island Deputy Fire Chief Terry Smith confirmed to News 8 emergency responders on the scene that three people were taken from the scene by ambulance.

Rock Island fire, police and emergency services gathered at the north end of Lake Potter in Sunset Park for about two hours this afternoon.

The accident scene is currently cleared and News 8 is awaiting a press release from the department, which will be issued shortly.
