Hot Springs Police: Woman killed in Saturday shooting, suspect also found dead

HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas – Police in Hot Springs are continuing their investigation into a weekend shooting that left a woman dead.

Hot Springs police officials said officers were called to a home in the 300 block of Burchwood Bay Road around 11:35 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports of shots fired.


After officers searched the area, they found the victim, 27-year-old Amber Reynolds, who had suffered a gunshot wound. Officers said Reynolds was dead when they found her.

Authorities said a suspect was identified during the shooting investigation. Investigators said Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office officers later found the suspect dead. Officials said they are investigating the death as a suicide. The suspect’s identity has not been released by investigators.

HSPD officials say the investigation into the Burchwood Bay Road shooting is ongoing and investigators are continuing to follow leads in the case. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Woodall of the Hot Springs Police Department at 501-321-6717.
