The White House wants to publish Palestinian torture “confessions” to support the mass rape lie

Vice President Kamala Harris will attend a screening of Sheryl Sandberg’s Screams before the silence on Monday a film containing “confessions” from Palestinians who were almost certainly tortured by Israel to support Tel Aviv’s lie about the October 7 mass rapes.

To promote the event, Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schulz lied in a CNN interview that she had personally watched videos of a rape in progress that Israeli and international investigators have found do not exist.

The screening is the result of a collaboration between the White House Gender Policy Council and several Israeli lobby groups, according to Jewish insider.

Invitations were sent to “all major feminist and women’s rights organizations,” the publication says. The Israel lobby appears to be using the event as a litmus test to see which of these groups is behind Israel’s propaganda narrative.

Jewish Insider says that “it will be insightful to keep an eye on the event’s audience.”

Proven liars

The Sandberg film, released in late April, spreads Israeli atrocity propaganda, claiming without credible evidence and based on proven lies that Hamas ordered its fighters to use rape on a large scale as a weapon of war on October 7, 2023.

In an article promoting the screening at the White House, The Jerusalem Post notes: “The silence of most women’s and human rights organizations on Hamas’s October 7 sexual assaults, which included mass rape and female genital mutilation, prompted former Meta COO and author Sandberg to make this documentary, directed by Anat Stalinsky.”

The Electronic Intifada livestream examined the Sandberg film in great detail last month, using Israeli and UN sources to show how the so-called witnesses interviewed by Sandberg lied.

As we have already mentioned, human rights activists oppose the use of the confession videos released by Israel, as they are almost certainly the result of torture in a situation where the detainees are not granted the right to a fair trial.

Amnesty International is one of the human rights groups that noted a dramatic increase in Israel’s use of “horrific” torture in the weeks following October 7.

Although the October 7 rape allegations have been thoroughly and repeatedly refuted, Israel and its lobby continue to try to revive them, now receiving high-level support from the Biden White House.

In the last livestream of The Electronic Intifada, we looked at how a recent article in The London Times is the first mainstream media outlet to admit that there is no evidence to support the gang rape claim.

We also discuss the findings of the United Nations Independent Commission of Inquiry, which also states that it cannot confirm any of the rape allegations.

Democratic congresswoman lies about rape video

While promoting the White House event on Monday, Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schulz falsely claimed she saw a video of a rape in progress on October 7.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, she claimed: “A few months ago, I was hosting a forum with the Second Gentleman on Capitol Hill, and the Israeli police came and showed us videos taken by Hamas terrorists themselves, committing the kind of sexual violence seen in Sheryl’s film: cutting off their victims’ breasts while they raped them.”

“Thanks to the testimony of survivors, witnesses, video footage and independent analysis, we know that Hamas’ use of sexual violence such as rape, mutilation and brutality was not an anomaly,” Wasserman Schulz said after the event in February, which also included a closed briefing.

However, she did not claim at the time that she had seen videos of people “perpetrating sexual violence.”

This is because there are no such videos.

In recent weeks, both the German Chancellor and her Foreign Minister have publicly stated that Hamas has filmed rapes taking place.

However, Israeli security authorities and UN investigators found that there are no videos or photos of sexual assaults on October 7.

This was reported in an article in Haaretz In April.

“From the inquiries addressed to three departments of the defence apparatus, HaaretzIt turns out that the information collected by the police and intelligence services, including footage from the terrorists’ body cameras, does not contain any visual documentation of the rapes themselves,” the Tel Aviv newspaper said.

The UN team, led by Pramila Patten, also reviewed thousands of photos and videos provided by the Israeli government. In its report published in March, it concluded that “the forensic evaluation of the available photos and videos did not reveal any tangible evidence of rape.”

Despite the pro-Israel bias of the UN report, it also confirms that “no digital evidence was found in open sources that specifically depicts acts of sexual violence.”

UN Commission finds no evidence of rape allegations

The United Nations Independent Commission of Inquiry reports that it has sent a request for information to Israel seeking “additional information relating to rape and other forms of sexual violence, including evidence of instructions given to the perpetrators responsible for the attack on 7 October 2023 to carry out such acts or information on specific cases of gender-based crimes on 7 October 2023, including cases of rape and other forms of sexual violence.”

Not only did Israel fail to respond, according to the report, investigators are also facing “active attempts by the Israeli authorities to deny the commission access to information on sexual violence. Such measures include instructing medical personnel not to cooperate with the commission.”

As in other investigations, the Commission notes “the lack of forensic evidence of the sexual crimes committed on October 7.”

The report goes on to say that it had “reviewed testimony of rape received from journalists and the Israeli police, but was unable to independently verify these allegations due to a lack of access to victims, witnesses and crime scenes and obstruction of the Israeli authorities’ investigations.”

The Commission explicitly states that it “was also unable to verify reports of sexual torture and genital mutilation”.

The commission said it had “examined reports alleging that documents found on killed or arrested militants allegedly contained instructions to strip civilians during the October 7 attack and/or to commit rape or other forms of sexual violence.”

However, the organization was unable to “obtain copies of these documents and verify their authenticity.”

And like the report published in early March by Pramila Patten, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Sexual Violence in Conflict, the Commission of Inquiry refutes some of Israel’s harshest claims.

It states that “some specific allegations were deemed to be false, inaccurate or inconsistent with other evidence or statements and were not taken into account in the evaluation.”

Even the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, who is seeking arrest warrants against Israeli and Palestinian politicians and accusing them of various war crimes and crimes against humanity, found no evidence of the story of the mass rapes in court documents.

By ignoring these and other findings that refute Israel’s claims, Kamala Harris in particular and the Biden administration in general are spreading atrocity propaganda that they know to be false.

This only reinforces their complicity in the genocide in Israel.
