ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — Round Rock police on Monday released the names of the two victims killed in a shooting at Old Settlers Park Saturday night.

The two victims were identified as 33-year-old Lyndsey Vicknair of Manor and 54-year-old Ara Duke of Pflugerville.

The shooting, which also injured 14 other people, occurred during a Juneteenth celebration in the park around 10:50 p.m. following a fight between two groups present at the event, Round Rock police said.

Neither Vicknair nor Duke were involved in the original altercation, the RRPD said.

“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of innocent life and the injuries sustained by several others in Saturday’s senseless act of violence,” Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said in a statement. “Our deepest sympathies go out to the families affected by this tragedy. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our community and will work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice. Together, we will stand strong for our community and support one another during this difficult time.”

IDEA Public Schools confirmed that Duke was one of its employees. The school district released a statement to KXAN on Monday morning about her death.

She was a valued member of our team and we will greatly miss our friend and colleague. Counselors will be available on campus to provide emotional support to students as needed. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones as they navigate this difficult time,” the statement said.

Round Rock Police are still searching for the suspect. Police gave the following description of the suspect on Sunday:

  • Black man
  • 5 feet, 7 inches tall
  • Slim stature
  • 19-20 years old
  • Hair in short dreads
  • Last seen wearing a white hoodie

Anyone with video or information about the shooting can call Round Rock Police Detective Maio at (512) 341-3135 or email [email protected]. The RRPD is also asking anyone with photo or video evidence to submit it here.
