Chef Gordon Ramsay shows bicycle helmet after serious accident: “I’m lucky to be here”

Over the weekend, chef Gordon Ramsay shared details of a serious cycling accident that left him hospitalized just before Father’s Day.

Ramsay, an avid fitness fan and father of six, also shared before and after photos of the accident on Instagram, giving his followers a glimpse of his damaged bike helmet, which he said “saved his life.”

“I want to share a very important message with you all. You know how much I love cycling and triathlon and Ironman etc and this week I unfortunately had a really bad accident which has really shaken me. And honestly I’m lucky to be here,” Ramsay said in a video posted to his various social media accounts on Saturday.
