Upper Darby police were called to the Sunoco at 8203 West Chester Pike around 11:40 p.m. Sunday for a shooting report.

Officers stormed the area. According to police radio reports, they soon learned that the victim had been taken away from the scene in a private vehicle and that the shooter had also fled.

The victim was in a crossover vehicle and the shooter was in a blue vehicle. Area hospitals were alerted to a possible gunshot victim.

Police cordoned off the parking lot, shell casings were found and an investigation was launched. There were witnesses who were also taken to the police station so investigators could take statements, radio traffic showed.

On Monday morning, township police Chief Timothy Bernhardt said there were no injuries and the incident appeared to have started when two men got into an argument at the gas pumps and at least one shot at the other.
