Woman killed, suspect sought after shooting in NW CLT

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A woman is dead and a suspect is being sought following a shooting in northwest Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Monday.

Officers responded to calls about the incident Sunday night around 10:21 p.m. near 4100 Glenwood Drive in northwest Charlotte. A woman was found with gunshot wounds and taken to a local medical center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Departments that responded to the scene included CSI, CFD, Victim Assistance, Paramedics and Incident Command. Det. Dossett is leading the case.

There is currently no talk of an arrest or suspect; the investigation is still ongoing.
