Murder investigation begins after death of pensioner

A murder investigation has been launched after a pensioner was found dead with serious head injuries in a house in Crossmaglen, County Armagh.

The man, in his 70s, was found in the bathroom of a house on Annaghmare Road on Saturday evening.

A 67-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.

Investigations into the circumstances of the man’s death are ongoing. Officers are still on site.
