Amber Alert: Keshaun Williams is missing in Cleveland one year later

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 1-866-4-WANTED.

CLEVELAND – On June 17, 2023, 15-year-old Keshaun Williams disappeared in Cleveland.

Monday marks the one-year anniversary of his disappearance and the announcement of an Amber Alert in Ohio. Authorities and his family continue to search for answers.

“Please, whoever has my child with them, please give me my child back,” his mother said during a press conference in April. “He’s a minor. He has no business being out here without his parents. This is crazy. This is not safe. This is not cool. If anyone knows anything, please come forward today. Keshaun, if you see this, I love you. I will find you and bring you home safe.”

She added that “someone knows something” as she urged anyone with information to contact police.

OHIO AMBER ALERT FOR KESHAUN REMAINS IN EFFECT

Newburg Heights Police Chief John Majoy has chaired the Northeast Ohio Amber Alert Committee since 2014. In that time, he says, 36 Amber Alerts have been issued — 35 of them successful. Only one remains for Keshaun.

“This one is basically an outlier compared to the others,” said Chief Majoy. “In other words, the longest storm we’ve had before lasted maybe four or five days. For one to last a year is definitely exceptional.”

Chief Majoy says the Amber Alert remains active because it continues to indicate that Keshaun may be in danger.

“I think the key is that there is a surge of missing persons under these circumstances,” says Chief Majoy. “At any given time, there are 400 missing people in Northeast Ohio, including children, and we want to address all of them, but the ones with the Amber Alerts – those are the ones that indicate that the child is in danger, that they could physically harm themselves or something like that.”

A $22,500 reward has been offered for information on this case. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-866-4-WANTED.

Keshaun is described as 5’7″ tall, 120 pounds, and brown-eyed. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a t-shirt.
