Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will appear before the CID, charged with sexual abuse of a minor

BS Yediyurappa, a senior BJP politician and former Chief Minister of Karnataka, appeared before the CID today on charges of sexually abusing a minor.

The minor’s mother had complained to him under the POCSO Act. Yediyurappa had stated that he would appear before the CID in the case on Monday, June 17. In the POCSO case, a Bangalore court had issued a non-bailable warrant against former chief minister BS Yediyurappa on June 11.

Yediyurappa was speaking to the press before his appearance before the CID. “I am going to the CID,” he said. “The people of the state are facing many problems,” he said, referring to the state government. The public is concerned about inflation. The state government’s decision to increase the prices of petrol and diesel is wrong. This is illegal. This decision should be revoked by the state government.”
