Ekiti agricultural marshals parade suspected rapist and thief

The Agricultural Marshals of Ekiti State have arraigned suspected rapist Azeez Isiaka (28) and two others for stealing petrol.

The Agrarian Marshals Commander, Olumide Oni, said: “The Agrarian Marshals in Iyin-Ekiti, Ifelodun LGA, received information that some people were raping a girl. When they got there, the rapists engaged in a fight but our men were able to catch one of them while the other ran away.

In another development, the Agrarian Marshals in Ijan-Ekiti, Gboyin Local Government Area received information that someone had stolen two drums of petrol from one Mr. Olayemi Olalekan (38). Upon investigation, one Suberu Yaya (28), who claimed to be a hunter, was suspected of stealing the drums of petrol. He was identified by the hunter’s uniform.

The commander said: “When he was arrested, he made a useful statement which forced the security agents to decide to summon the complainant, Olalekan, to his office. He claimed that Yaya stole the two petrol drums from him at gunpoint,” adding that the gun was recovered from the suspect.
