Police search for suspect after shooting in Phoenix

The shooting happened Sunday evening near the intersection of 16th Street and Indian School Road. Here are the latest details.

PHOENIX – Phoenix police say a man was hospitalized after a shooting in downtown Phoenix and they are searching for the person who shot him.

The department told 12News it was called to the area of ​​4000 N 16th Street, just south of Indian School Road, just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man shot. The man was taken to a hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Officers are still on site looking for a suspect. They have requested police dogs to assist in the search.

Police did not provide any information about the person being sought and no further details were released about the shooting.
