Gordon Ramsay reveals he’s ‘lucky to be here’ after horrific bike accident – See his stunning wound

Gordon Ramsay is grateful for his survival in a serious bicycle accident… But his war injuries serve as a sure reminder to him.

On Saturday, Master Chef Star jumped on both Instagram And Tick ​​​​Tock with a new video revealing that he nearly died in a bicycle accident this week. He began:

“Hi guys, this is Gordon. I want to share a very important message with you all. You know how much I love cycling and triathlon, and Iron Manand so on. And this week, unfortunately, I had a really bad accident that really shook me up and, to be honest, I’m glad to be here.”

Whoa… The 57-year-old continued with an important message about safety:

“The incredible trauma surgeons, doctors, nurses and hospital that took care of me this week were amazing. But honestly, you have to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the ride is, I don’t care that these helmets cost money, but they are essential. Even the kids – a short ride – have to wear a helmet. I’m glad I’m standing here. I’m in pain, it’s been a brutal week, and I’m getting through it somehow.”

Helmets are SO incredibly important for any type of activity where you have little protection in the event of an accident, such as cycling.

At this moment in the video, Gordon lifted up his shirt to reveal a HUGE bruise covering his entire torso. He continued:

“I can’t tell you enough how important it is to wear a helmet. This weekend is a big event – it’s Father’s Day for young dads, old dads, middle-aged dads. I want to wish you all a happy Father’s Day. But please, please, please, please wear a helmet. Because if I didn’t, I honestly wouldn’t be here right now. Happy Father’s Day.”

This is SO awful! He didn’t elaborate on the exact details of his accident, but he is clearly terrified. He couldn’t stop shaking while talking about it! In his accompanying caption, he revealed a few more details about the incident:

“Sound off on this one…with #FathersDay tomorrow I have a very important message for all the dads out there…WEAR A HELMET! This week I was in a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. I’m OK and didn’t break any bones or sustain any major injuries, but I’m a little bruised and look like a purple potato. I’m grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff at (Lawrence) + Memorial Hospital in New London who took care of me and checked me over, but I’m most grateful for my helmet which saved my life. Happy Father’s Day and stay safe, Gx”
