Topeka man arrested after stabbing on Saturday

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A man is in custody following a stabbing in Topeka Saturday afternoon.

On June 15, at approximately 2:37 p.m., officers from the Topeka Police Department (TPD) were dispatched to the 1300 block of SW Western Ave to investigate a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a man with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a TPD press release, after further investigation, 24-year-old Xavian Locke of Topeka was arrested and taken to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on a charge of aggravated assault and a county warrant.

The victim’s condition is currently stable.
