No further details about the arrest or the alleged incident were released.

The news comes less than three weeks after Buggs turned himself in. He was accused of animal cruelty after police found two dogs locked on a screened porch in Tuscaloosa without access to food or water (one of the dogs was later euthanized).

Neighbors said the house was rented by Buggs and the dogs had been on the porch for at least 10 days. A lawyer for Buggs has since denied the allegations.

Britt Reid was sentenced to three years in prison in 2022 for drunk driving after crashing into two cars and injuring six people, including two children.
