Gordon Ramsay had a bad bike accident and has a bruise as proof

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is currently spending his time in Connecticut, where he is filming a new season of “Hell’s Kitchen” at the Foxwoods Casino.

Foxwoods recently opened a Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in the casino, and Ramsay and his crew are using it as a filming location after shooting previous seasons in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Side note: I’ve been to Hell’s Kitchen in Foxwoods and it is incredible. Ramsay’s famous beef wellington and sticky toffee pudding are a must for anyone who loves good food.

But as Ramsay is probably finding out, there isn’t much to do in southeastern Connecticut. There are two huge casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, but they’re in the middle of nowhere.

Ramsay decided to pass the time and get some exercise by getting on his bike and going for a ride. Unfortunately, the chef suffered a serious accident.

He posted a video on social media urging people to wear helmets, showing a massive bruise covering much of his left torso.

“You know how much I love cycling, triathlons and Ironmans etc. Unfortunately this week I had a really bad accident,” said Ramsay. “And it really shook me up. I’m glad to be here now, to be honest.”

He then urged people to wear helmets while cycling, saying his helmet saved his life.

“You have to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the ride is, I don’t care,” Ramsay encouraged. “It’s been a brutal week and I’m getting through it somehow. But I can’t tell you how important it is to wear a helmet.”

“I want to wish you all a happy Father’s Day. But please, please, please, please wear a helmet. Because if I didn’t, I honestly wouldn’t be here right now,” Ramsay concluded.

Thankfully Ramsay is still around to do cooking shows, because I think I’ll watch every one of them. Hell’s Kitchen is the original, but Next Level Chef is not to be missed.

Luckily, Ramsay was wearing his helmet so we can continue to watch him create incredible creations in the kitchen and yell at people who don’t.
