Man sentenced to prison for sexually abusing a child

ANDERSON, Texas (KBTX) – A 44-year-old man was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sexual abuse of a child.

The deal with Margarito Anguiano took place on Wednesday, June 12, in Grimes County.

The investigation began in September 2023 when a 14-year-old girl reported sexual abuse to a school police officer in Navasota.

Assistant District Attorney Meagan Callaham said the collaboration between the district attorney’s office, Navasota police and DPS helped secure the confession and verdict.
