After the rape allegations against the Alexander brothers

South Florida’s leading real estate agent Oren Alexander and his brother Alon have been accused in lawsuits of raping two women in New York over a decade ago.

The complaintsfiled in March under the Adult Survivors Act allege that the twin brothers sexually abused two women in 2010 and 2012 and that they have exhibited a similar pattern of behavior toward other women over the years.

The Alexanders’ attorney, Jim Ferraro, denied the allegations.

Oren and his brother Tal co-founded Elliman Official, a brokerage backed by white-label firm Side, with Douglas in 2022. Tal is not named in the complaints.

Since The only true When the story about the rape allegations broke, my colleagues Sheridan Wall and Ellen Cranley followed the aftermath. Oren announced he was taking a “hiatus” from Official. His name and bio were removed from the company’s website, and co-founders Nicole Oge, Richard Jordan and Andrew Wachtfogel continue to run the company with Tal. Later in the week, his real estate licenses in Florida and New York were marked inactive. His listings were transferred to Tal and Isaac Lustgarten.

Official has relied on the Alexanders’ name recognition and connections to attract top talent and grow in New York, Miami and other parts of the country. Now that name recognition is costing them money.

On Thursday, we learned from sources that JDS Development Group, the company led by developer Michael Stern, is ending its relationship with Official. An official announcement is expected in the next few days. Official led the sale of the Dolce & Gabbana-branded condominium project planned for 888 Brickell Avenue.

The company still appears to be leading sales at Shvo and Deutsche Finance’s planned Rosewood Hotel-branded condominium project at the Raleigh in Miami Beach. (Sales at the project are not going well, according to recent reports in the WSJ and Business Insider.) Shvo did not respond to requests for comment after we reported on additional alleged victims contacting plaintiffs’ attorney Evan Torgan of Torgan Cooper + Aaron. Torgan said midweek that he and his partners had been in contact with 28 alleged victims of the Alexander brothers.
