Police in Nashville, Tennessee, search for driver after pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on E. Thompson Lane

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on E. Thompson Lane Saturday night.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the accident occurred on Saturday, June 15, around 9 p.m. at the intersection of E. Thompson Lane and Lawndale Drive.

Investigators said preliminary investigations indicate a 47-year-old pedestrian was attempting to cross the intersection when he was struck by a white minivan traveling north on E. Thompson Lane.

The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, died in the accident, officials said. Efforts are underway to notify his family.

Police say they are working to identify the driver of the minivan. Anyone with information about the fatal crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers at: 615-742-7463.
