Three people found shot after chase ends in crash: Denver police

DENVER (KDVR) — Three people, including a juvenile, suffered gunshot wounds and other unknown injuries after a chase ended in a crash near U.S. Highway 36 early Sunday morning, Denver police said.

Police said a vehicle with visible bullet holes was seen at the corner of 45th Avenue and Havana Street in Denver. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it sped away.


A pursuit was initiated that ended at approximately 4:45 a.m. at US 36 and Pecos Street.

The driver fled the vehicle but later went to the hospital. Two other people, an adult woman and a juvenile, were found in the vehicle with gunshot wounds.

The two were taken from the scene of the accident to a local hospital.

A DPD vehicle also crashed, but the officer was uninjured. Police said the two were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

According to police, the shooting occurred at the corner of 17th Avenue and Alton Street in Aurora.
