Police investigate fatal shooting in Asheville

An investigation is ongoing after a man was found shot to death in Asheville early Sunday morning.

ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – An investigation is ongoing after a man was found shot to death in Asheville early Sunday morning.

According to Asheville police, patrol officers responded to an apartment in the 300 block of Long Shoals Road around 6 a.m. Sunday and found a man who appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Details are limited.
