Buffalo police investigate Saturday morning shooting

BUFFALO, NY — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning, according to a Buffalo Police spokesman.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1 a.m. on Mapleridge Avenue.

Investigators say a 15-year-old Buffalo boy was shot while outside. No information was given about the circumstances of the shooting.

Authorities said the teen was taken by ambulance to ECMC, which is about a block away. He suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the spokesman said.
