A motorcycle accident shut down NC-16 near Beatties Ford Road in northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An accident shut down NC-16 near Beatties Ford Road in northwest Charlotte Wednesday afternoon, according to NCDOT.

The accident involving a motorcycle occurred Wednesday, May 8, along northbound NC-16 near Beatties Ford Road. The area is currently closed.

Paramedic confirms one person was transported to Atrium CMC with life-threatening injuries.

The expected impact on traffic is high. The area is expected to reopen at 4:45 p.m

The cause of this serious accident is still being investigated.
