Gordon Ramsay has warned fans to “wear a helmet” after he was involved in a cycling accident which left him with bruising across the entire left side of his torso.

In a Father’s Day message, the chef explained that he was riding his bike in Connecticut when the incident occurred and that he was “saved” by his helmet and medical staff at a local hospital.

Then he lifted up his chef’s jacket, revealing one side of his body covered in bright purple bruises.

“I was NOT expecting that. My goodness, that bruise is bad,” read one response, while another added, “We’re thankful you’re still with us, boss!”
