Elon Musk accused of sexual harassment at SpaceX

Elon Musk faces sexual harassment charges after a new report details the billionaire’s relationships with women at SpaceX.

Eight fired SpaceX engineers have filed a lawsuit against Musk for “creating an unwelcoming, hostile work environment by introducing into the workplace vile sexual photos, memes and comments that degraded women and/or the LGBTQ+ community.”

Bloomberg reports that the plaintiffs were fired in retaliation for a 2022 letter in which they raised concerns that Musk had mocked allegations of misconduct against him.

The plaintiffs allege that SpaceX executives and Musk collaborated on a video that mocked sexual misconduct and jokes, including a scene in which an employee demonstrates how to spank a co-worker.

“We must use all the tools at our disposal to continue to enforce our claims,” said plaintiff Tom Moline. “Even Elon, with all his wealth and power, is not immune from being held accountable, right?”

The lawsuit comes after the Wall Street Journal reported that Musk had sex with a co-worker and a former intern, offered to buy a horse to a woman in exchange for sexual acts and asked another woman to have his children.

Although none of these women have filed a lawsuit or complaint against Musk, the plaintiffs have expressed that a high-level group around Musk is complicit in not applying the company’s rules to him and that this contributes to a culture of sexism and harassment.

According to several executives and board members who spoke to the Journal, Musk has used illegal drugs such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms and ketamine along with some board members.
