Exclusive

“SANDLOT” star Tom Guiry

What a dumbbell!!!

Arrested for throwing his weight around

“Sandlot” star Tom Guirywho played Smalls in the movie was arrested for throwing a strike…but police say he didn’t hit his target with a baseball, he hit it with a dumbbell!!!

TMZ obtained video of the alleged incident… and it appears to show Tom throwing a huge weight at the windshield of a car, completely shattering it.

The footage is absolutely insane… Tom is seen putting the dumbbell behind his head and then dropping it onto a white Jeep… before marching across two manicured front yards to go back inside… all the while the dumbbell is rolling down the hood.

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office tells TMZ… Tom was arrested on June 2 after officers responded to a disturbance call and found him in the middle of the road.

Police say they started talking to Tom and he asked about his wife… and that’s when the owner of the Jeep yelled at Tom, “Really? My window is broken.”

HCSO says Tom responded, “That sucks, man. I’m going to pay you back. I’m sorry, I’m going to pay you back.” According to police, he also said in an agitated tone, “It was me. I’m sorry, man. I’m coming back for you… I’m… I’m sorry, brother, I’m going to pay you back.”

It appears Tom is shedding his Smalls personality… Officers say the owner of the Jeep told them Tom damaged his windshield with a 35-pound dumbbell.

Maybe the guy was at the gym!!!

Things got even more tense… Police say the victim told them Tom also came to his door and rang the bell with a knife in his hand… and that seems to match the video as well.

Eventually, Tom was arrested and charged with assault, disturbing the peace, and property damage.

This isn’t the first time Tom has been arrested… as we previously told you, he was arrested in Texas in 2013 after allegedly attempting to kick a police officer in the face and headbutting him.

We contacted Tom’s camp… no response yet.
