AT 6:00 AM. I’M MELANIE WINGO CONTRIBUTING BRITTANY. I HOPE WE START WITH BREAKING NEWS FROM SACRAMENTO WHERE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A FATAL SHOOTING. THE SHOOTING OCCURRED THIS AFTERNOON AT AROUND 3:00 PM ON MARIN AVENUE. THIS IS VIDEO FROM THE SCENE. POLICE SAY A 17-YEAR-OLD WAS TAKEN AWAY, SHOT AT LEAST ONCE, AND THEN TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE LATER DIED. HOMICIDE DETECTORS ARE NOW ON THE SCENE. A teenager was shot and killed in Sacramento on Saturday afternoon, according to police. Sacramento police said officers responded to a shooting on Marin Avenue near 77th Street and found a 17-year-old victim with at least one gunshot wound.
