Severn murder was a ‘targeted incident,’ suspect fled, Anne Arundel police say – Baltimore Sun

Anne Arundel police are investigating a murder that occurred Friday night in Severn.

Police believe the victim, 34-year-old Keion McKinney, was leaving a row house and was shot by a man in the backyard. The man fled. Police were called to the 1600 block of Meade Village Circle around 7:19 p.m. Friday, where they found McKinney suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, the murder appears to have been “a targeted incident” and there is “no danger to the community.”
