Freeport police investigate Saturday morning shooting | MyStateline

FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) – Freeport police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning.

At approximately 1:52 a.m., police responded to a report of a shots fired in the 1000 block of South Carroll Avenue.


Authorities said they found evidence that multiple firearms had been fired in the area. Two vehicles parked in the area were damaged.

According to reports, no one was injured.

Officers received information that two men fled the scene after the shots were fired, but no further descriptions of the men were given.

The police currently have no suspects and are still investigating.
