Police investigate suspected murder of 15-year-old in Lowell – NBC Boston

Authorities are investigating a suspected murder in Lowell, Massachusetts, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Chief Greg Hudon.

Lowell police said they responded to a report that the body of a 15-year-old girl was found in a Lawrence Street apartment shortly after 6 p.m.

According to authorities, the person who found the victim also reported seeing severe injuries on the body.

When police arrived, they said they found the victim with gunshot wounds.

Authorities said bullet casings were also found in the area.

The incident is under investigation.
