Stephen Curry and Dell Curry offer flowers to Rockets legends

Stephen Curry has become familiar with the Houston Rockets, as Curry’s Golden State Warriors have faced Houston in two of their four championships (2015 and 2018). The Warriors and Rockets also faced off in the playoffs in 2016 and 2019, and Curry’s Warriors were the winners in each series.

However, the game within the game was always between James Harden and Curry, as both players constantly raised their level of play during duels. Harden and the Rockets became more determined to dethrone the Warriors with each passing loss, so much so that the Rockets’ only goal was to specifically eliminate the Dubs.

But even though Curry’s Warriors have consistently outperformed the Rockets, that hasn’t diminished his respect for Harden. Curry and his father, Dell Curry, launched a new podcast called Heat Check and their first task was to compile a list of the five best players of their respective eras.

The Warriors superstar said the following:

“I’m going to go from 2009 to 2023 now. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, obviously myself, and I’m going to say James Harden.”

This is certainly a great list. In fact, his father didn’t move down the list at all. As for the elder Curry, his roster also included a Houston Rockets legend.

“I have Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Shaquille O’Neal, and the last one I go to Hakeem Olajuwon.”

The former Charlotte Hornets sharpshooter added more love for The Dream.

“How about this. When you can’t call a player by name.”

The podcast, presented by Unanimous Media, first aired on Thursday, June 13, and aims to explore the journey and tell the story of the Curry family, while also discussing other players.
