2 people arrested for stabbing in New Windsor

A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in New Windsor on Friday, leading to the arrest of two suspects, police said.

According to police, officers arrived at Silver Stream Village at 1:21 p.m. and found the victim with bleeding facially and a bleeding right hand. He was taken to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.

Authorities determined that the victim “was involved in a violent altercation with two other men.”

According to police, 59-year-old Steven Gordon and 67-year-old John Maines were arrested after a search warrant was executed at Silver Stream Village, 16 Bivona Lane. Police said they found the knife used in the stabbing as well as crack cocaine.

According to authorities, the two suspects were taken to the Orange County Jail.

News 12 reported earlier this year on arrests of the same suspects on drug charges in New Windsor.
