Wings of Hope Search and Rescue of Wisconsin ends operations

MEDFORD, Wis. (WEAU) – Wings of Hope Search and Rescue of Wisconsin announces that after seven years of operation, the organization will cease operations.

In a Facebook post on the Wings of Hope Search and Rescue of Wisconsin Facebook page, the nonprofit cites budget cuts and lack of donations as reasons.

The Facebook post states: “After seven years of operating and running divisions of Hope Search and Rescue, we have decided to cease operations. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts and lack of donations, we can no longer continue our mission of bringing missing loved ones home. I especially want to thank all of my team members for helping so many families in need over the years. I especially want to thank Northstar Search and Rescue for always standing by us as mutual aid partners and family. I also want to thank all of the divisions we have worked with over the past seven years and helping so many communities and families. We have truly been fortunate to travel all over the United States, meet some wonderful families, and see some of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this incredible adventure.”
