Music Midtown festival cancels 2024 event

The on-again, off-again Music Midtown Festival resumes for 2024.

Organizers posted on social media and the Music Midtown website that the Piedmont Park festival was on “pause.”

After producing legendary festivals over the past three decades that have attracted music fans from around the world, we would like to announce that Music Midtown is on hiatus this year. We encourage you to continue supporting live music in Atlanta and stay tuned here for future updates.

The festival was a staple in Midtown starting in 1994 before taking a four-year hiatus in the early 2000s. The 2020 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and again in 2022 after the Gun rights supporters have challenged a gun ban in Piedmont Park.

Billie Eilish, Pink, The 1975, Guns n’ Roses and Lil Baby were headliners at last year’s September festival, which drew thousands of attendees to the park.
