Man shot twice by cousin amid ongoing feud in northeast Houston

A man is hospitalized following an early morning shooting in northeast Houston, where police say it was his cousin who fired the shots.

The incident happened on Vailview Drive near Leedale Street around 12:30 a.m.

Police report that an ongoing dispute between the two men escalated into a violent confrontation. Investigators said the suspect’s wife discovered the victim on the ground, while her husband was nowhere to be found.

The victim suffered two gunshot wounds and was transported to hospital, where he is expected to recover. HPD is actively searching for the suspect, who remains at large.
