34-year-old man killed in accident

A man died in an accident.

Police were called to the scene of a motorbike crash on the A22, Hailsham Road, shortly after 5am this morning.

The motorcyclist, a 34-year-old from Eastbourne, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being looked after by specialist officials.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The road remains closed in both directions for investigation and recovery operations.”

“Police are trying to establish the exact circumstances of the incident, which is believed to have occurred in the early hours of the morning.
