Investigation into fatal accident in Sullivan County underway | News

SULLIVAN, Indiana (WTHI) – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office reports one person was killed in an early morning crash.

Just after 2 a.m. Friday, officers were called to a car crash in the area of ​​State Road 54 and Section Street. Officers believe the driver was traveling westbound on State Road 54 and passed through the T-intersection before hitting a tree.

Police said the driver died at the scene. The driver was identified as Cary Brett Wayman, 58, of Sullivan.

According to the sheriff’s office, the accident remains under investigation pending autopsy results.
