16-year-old child found dead in Sardis cemetery

SARDIS, Tennessee – After a tragic discovery in southern Henderson County, investigators are now trying to clarify the details of the incident.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of a 16-year-old boy found dead Friday morning at Spring Hill Cemetery in Sardis, Tennessee. The Sheriff’s Office is withholding comment at this time.

It is an unfortunate tragedy that has left some people feeling unsettled and wondering what caused it.

According to sources, the body was also found by a 13-year-old girl and brought to the police by her mother.

It is currently unclear how the child came to be in the cemetery. The last recorded burial at Spring Hill Cemetery dates back to April 2004, with most graves unmarked or identified.
