Maine State Police continue to search for Attiin Shaw, who has been missing since 2021

(WAGM) – The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit was on scene Friday afternoon at the last known residence of missing Washburn resident Attiin Shaw. A state police spokesperson said police were there Friday to “continue their last search in February.” Moss says Maine State Police were not looking for anything specific and there are no new developments. The 36-year-old mother of four is originally from Indonesia and moved to Washburn in 2020 with her children and husband, Michael Shaw. Attiin Shaw was reportedly last heard from in September 2021. Shaw is described as 4 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a distinctive birthmark on the tip of her nose. According to social media posts to raise awareness of the case, she was reported missing to Washburn police by her husband a few weeks later at the behest of her family in Indonesia after they had not heard from her. Maine State Police became involved in the case in early 2023 and said there was no indication Shaw was living elsewhere. Officials say their investigation has not turned up any alternate addresses. On February 13 and 14, 2024, police officers, evidence technicians and detectives from the Major Crimes Unit North were at Shaw’s Washburn Road residence as part of their investigation.
