Suspect charged with road rage with knife and firearm

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – A Greenwood man has been charged with assault in connection with a road rage incident that occurred Friday in North Charleston.

According to North Charleston Police spokesman Harve Jacobs, 44-year-old Robert Anderson has been charged with third-degree assault.


Anderson and another person were involved in an altercation near the Speedway gas station on Ashley Phosphate Road at around 6:43 p.m.

Anderson allegedly attacked the other driver with a knife, Jacobs said. The other driver then fired a warning shot. No charges were filed against the driver in the incident.

Jacobs said no one was injured in the incident.
