Gang rape: Five arrested for gang rape of Bengali minor | Ranchi News

Dumka: All five persons accused of raping a 16-year-old girl from West Bengal on the intervening night of June 12-13 in a village in the district were arrested by the Dumka police on Friday. The arrests were made on the basis of a complaint filed by the girl on Thursday morning. The girl had come to the village to attend a marriage ceremony and had just left the house when the accused dragged her to a nearby field. The arrested are Manoj Beara, Jagannath Murmu, Bheemlal Hembrom, Supoul Hembrom and Chunka Hembrom. “All of them are in their early twenties and residents of the village where the incident took place,” police told TOI. Prasad said all the accused had confessed to the crime and a court sent them to jail on Friday. tnn
