Atlantic Police respond to a two-vehicle accident

(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Southwest 7th and West 15th Streets in Atlantic at 7:51 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning.

An investigation into the accident revealed that a 2021 Toyota Camry turned onto Southwest 7th from the Atlantic Achievement Center driveway and was struck by a 2004 GMC Envoy that was traveling northeast on Southwest 7th. The driver of the Toyota was checked on scene by Cass EMS and taken by private vehicle to be evaluated for minor injuries.

Both vehicles were able to be removed from the scene of the accident. The driver of the Toyota Camry was cited for failing to pass while entering a thoroughfare.
