1 dead and 1 injured in shooting at Sacramento gaslight towers

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A man is dead and a woman is hospitalized after a shooting in Arden Arcade Friday afternoon.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died at the scene.

A second victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle before police arrived. The sheriff’s office said she was shot in the head and is expected to survive.

The man who was shot has not yet been identified. There is currently no information about the suspect or the motive.
