Derry man sentenced to more than 60 years in prison for sexually abusing a minor | New Hampshire

DERRY – A former Derry school bus driver has been sentenced to 67 years in prison for sexually abusing a child and creating child pornography.

On Thursday, 30-year-old Sean Bailey pleaded guilty in Rockingham Supreme Court to sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 13 and producing child sexual abuse images.

In addition to his sentence, he must pay a $4,000 fine and register as a sex offender. If paroled, he will be released on probation for up to 10 years.

Bailey pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual abuse of a minor, endangering the welfare of a child and production of child pornography.

While in prison, he will be required to attend counseling and complete a therapy program. If Bailey behaves well, he could be eligible for parole in about 33 years.

On December 8, 2023, he was charged with, among other things, sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 13, production of child sexual abuse images, and purchase of child sexual abuse images.

Bailey was working as a school bus driver in Londonderry at the time of his arrest on July 30, 2023. The school district has issued statements saying it believes he did not target any other children.

Detective Scott Tompkins, with the assistance of other members of the Derry Police Department and a member of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant for the suspect’s home on July 19, 2023.

Among the items seized was a Verizon tablet.

The files on the tablet included videos and images of child pornography, as well as face-swap images of adult women engaged in sexual acts, with the face of the underage woman superimposed over their faces.

There is an order of protection for the child who attacked Bailey.
