“Walking Dead” dog dies – Norman Reedus and the actors pay tribute to him

Norman Reedus and his Walking dead The co-stars remember Seven, the Belgian Shepherd who played Dog in the hit AMC series.

Reedus, 55, shared a photo of himself with Seven, who will play the loyal four-legged companion of his character Daryl Dixon starting in the show’s ninth season, on Instagram on June 13.

He simply captioned the post “7” and added in the comments section, “Will miss you buddy.”

The news of Seven’s death was also shared on the show’s official Instagram account. Alongside several photos of the deceased dog, he wrote: “Rest in peace Seven. #TWD’s best boy.”

In the comments section of the post, Yvette Nicole Brown responded with a broken heart emoji.

“All dogs go to heaven. Rest in peace Seven,” the show added on X (formerly known as Twitter), where they also shared a photo of Seven with Melissa McBride (who played Carol).

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played the role of Negan, responded in the comments section with three heart emojis.

Lynn Collins, who played Leah Shaw, and Angelea Kang, the series’ final showrunner, reacted to an Instagram post – featuring the same photo of McBride and Seven – with crying face emojis.

Kang added “RIP Seven” in her own Instagram story.

Back in 2018, Reedus spoke about working with Seven on the set of the horror series.

“We just shot a scene the other day that ended up being the opposite of what it was supposed to be because the dog just wanted to do something different, and it turned out so much better,” Reedus told ComicBook.com. “He’s probably going to run the show. It’s great! I love it. He loves me too.”
