Investigation underway after shooting at Axton’s home

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find out more after a June 13 shooting at a home in Axton where three people were inside.

Just before 2 a.m., the Martinsville/Henry County 911 Communications Center received a call that someone had fired shots into a home in the 4000 block of Mountain Valley Road. Once on scene, officers made contact with three people who were inside the home during the incident.


We were told they were not injured, but the house was damaged.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751 or Crimestoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463).

The Crimestoppers program offers rewards of up to $2500.00 for information about a crime. The nature of the crime and the content of the information determine the amount of the reward.
