WESTBOROUGH – Westborough Police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspects who attempted to steal the sign in front of Westborough High School.

According to the Westborough Police Department’s Facebook page, the sign was cut out in front of the high school around 4:30 a.m. on June 14.

According to police, the suspects attempted to “permanently take the beautiful sign away from the city,” but were unsuccessful and left the sign behind. A witness who heard a noise alerted police, who responded and found the damaged sign on John Street.

Police are seeking information about a truck that was seen in the Westborough High School parking lot before it was stolen.
