Pharmacist arrested for raping nine-year-old girl in Kothagudem-Telangana today

The girl was sexually abused on June 12 while she was playing in the accused’s house.

Kottayam: A pharmacist was arrested and remanded in custody by police in Manugur on Friday for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl.

According to police, the accused Gadida Srinivas, who works as an outsourced pharmacist at Janampet PHC in Manugur mandal in the district, sexually abused the girl on June 12 when she was playing at the accused’s house.

Based on the complaint of the girl’s parents, a case was registered and investigation was started. It was said that the accused ran away on a motorcycle when the girl’s parents tried to catch him after learning about the incident from the girl.
