Motorcyclist dies after collision with two vehicles on Freeway 580 in Livermore

LIVERMORE, CA (June 14, 2024) – On Thursday morning, June 13, a motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on the 580 Freeway in Livermore.

The fatal crash occurred at about 5:40 a.m., right between the North Livermore Avenue exit and the Isabel Avenue exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was driving back and forth between lanes before the crash. A semi-truck struck the motorcycle after it pulled in front of it.

The motorcyclist then remained lying on the road and was hit by another vehicle.

The rescue workers tried to save the motorcyclist, but the victim died at the scene of the accident. The name, age and place of residence of the motorcyclist were not initially known.

The investigation into this death is still ongoing.
